• Ejecutar proyectos de desarrollo de software, llevando a la práctica las etapas del ciclo de vida de un software (análisis, diseño, programación, pruebas, implementación y mantenimiento) y realizar ajustes, modificaciones y mejoras.
• Programar Sistemas y Aplicaciones garantizando su buen funcionamiento a través de la correcta y completa ejecución de pruebas integrales ante un cambio en los Sistemas.
• Proporcionar soporte funcional sobre los Sistemas y Aplicaciones de manera expedita, cumpliendo con los Acuerdos de Niveles de Servicio (SLA)
• Evaluar, recomendar e implementar sistemas de información, aplicaciones y software especializado, analizando todas las alternativas posibles de acuerdo con las necesidades y requerimientos de la empresa
• Asegurar que los códigos fuente y versiones de software que se vayan produciendo, se respalden de manera adecuada
• Asegurar la integridad y confidencialidad de la información en los Sistemas y Aplicaciones
• Documentar los desarrollos de software de manera sustentable
• Realizar capacitaciones sobre la funcionalidad de los Sistemas y Aplicaciones
• Elaborar la documentación de los cambios realizados en los Sistemas

A Fintech is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. You will join a distributed team of remote employees and employees based near our offices. As a Full Stack Engineer on an agile team, you will build upon our growing line of products that bring the possibility of a safe retirement to more people. You will work remotely.

What You Will Work On

• Bring modern software solutions to an antiquated financial industry using your expertise in building full-stack software solutions.
• Build elegant software from the ground up by creating user interfaces, using message queuing infrastructure, streamlining operations, and designing systems architecture.
• Work with a group of passionate technologists to help automate administrative tasks and build unique solutions to solve our users' problems.
• Lay the groundwork for further expansion into other financial services past 20,000 customers.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience building consumer-facing software products
• Experience programming in at least one backend language (like Ruby, Python, Go) and one modern frontend framework or rendering library (React, Vue, Angular)
• Working knowledge of relational databases, designing APIs, and security lifecycle best practices.
• Familiarity with (or wants to learn) how to run modern distributed systems environments built with Kubernetes, Docker, and GCP

What you’ll get to do…

As part of the Managed WooCommerce team at this company, you’ll work closely with teammates on the  engineering and product teams to build fast, secure, and maintainable code in PHP using modern MVC and composability approaches. Our customers are business owners or eCommerce store operators, so it is important to build reliable, iteratable, intuitive experiences that get out of their way, make managing  their store fun and approachable, and help them grow their business. You will be responsible for translating product requirements into detailed engineering specs and collaboratively writing code with  an engineering team to implement them, along with reviewing your teammates’ work, and constantly improving how we work.

While most of your time will be spent writing quality code and reviewing the code that your teammates  write, you will also have the opportunity to mentor & learn from others, improve internal documentation & processes, build enhancements to our test / QA automations, and contribute to open source projects.

A typical day includes...

• Building features and fixes based on detailed product requirements.
• Reviewing your teammates’ code for readability, maintainability, and security.
• Performing user testing on your own code and providing code reviews to teammates.
• Participating in the full development lifecycle from research and planning engineering.
• implementations to QA and deployment.
• Adding to our internal wiki/documentation.
• Assisting our care team with troubleshooting challenging issues.
• Collaborating with other engineering teams across the company on shared projects.
